Treat your dog to a luxurious bath. Our special, cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and that doggie pet odor – your pet will feel fresh and revitalized. If scratching is a problem, our medicated baths contain soothing agents that stop the itching. Services also include nail trimming. (We're sorry- we are not equipped to bathe cats.)
Providing proper medical care for birds requires specialized training and skills. Our veterinarians possess experience in the care and treatment of birds, and can advise you as to the dietary, maintenance, hygiene and medical needs of your feathered friend.
As a convenience for our clients, we offer boarding services for your pet. Our Boarding Contract provides us with your specific directions regarding the care of your pet while staying with us. Pets are like our children – we feed, nurture and lavish attention on them. Our highly qualified staff does the same when you can't be there. We board cats, dogs, exotic pets and pets with special medical needs. Charges apply to the day of drop-off and day of pick-up, regardless of time of day.
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth and overall health. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Our technicians polish teeth to create a smooth tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. We can also apply a dental sealant to the teeth. Our doctor can perform extractions when necessary.
Emergency & Critical Care
In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. For after hours or 24 hour critical care, refer to our Home Page of a list of after-hour emergency hospitals.
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.
All patients at Cedar Grove Animal Hospital are examined a minimum of twice daily by a doctor. Intensive care patients are kept under constant supervision. Daily hospital records containing your pet's general health, temperature, medical staff obsevations, medical treatment and appetite are kept throughout the pet's stay.
Immunization & Wellness Care
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. Our Wellness program is designed specifically for your pet and includes: Comprehensive annual physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea control; vaccination program; spay and neuter services; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.
We are able to perform a variety of tests in-house to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of your pet. Full time veterinary technicians provide our professional staff with prompt test results. We also work with several outside professional laboratories when additional in-depth testing is required.
Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.
Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.
Certain medical conditions require prescription foods. Our veterinarian can assess your pet's specific needs and recommend the appropriate prescription food. We stock a full line of Hill's Pet Nutrition foods. Home delivery is available for some other prescription brands.
Veterinary patients may feel pain and discomfort associated with certain medical procedures. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.
We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. We also have the capacity to provide home delivery on most items. There is a Prescription Dispensing Fee for purchasing medications we prescribe at another pharmacy.
Providing proper medical care for rabbits and small mammals requires specialized training and skills. We possess experience in the care and treatment of rabbits and small mammals. Our staff can advise you as to the dietary, maintenance, hygiene and medical needs of your furry friend.
Radiographs – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We offer full radiographic services in-house for diagnostic purposes, with access to ultrasonography, MRI and CAT scans.
Providing proper medical care for reptiles requires specialized training and skills. Our Dr. Wilson Jr . possess experience in the care and treatment of reptiles. He can advise you as to the dietary, maintenance, hygiene and medical needs of your reptilian friend.
Our operating suite is equipped to perform sterile procedures, both soft tissue and orthopaedic work. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing. The surgeon is supported by trained technicians to monitor pets during the surgical procedure.
This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.
